Before her move to Germany, she was a prominent figure in Nigerian fashion media, serving as a wardrobe stylist and an editorial executive at the renowned Genevieve Magazine. In 2021, she took a bold leap, relocating to Germany through the prestigious “Afrika Kommt!” scholarship—a program designed to connect high-potential African professionals with leading German companies. This transition from fashion journalism to the technical world of IT communications is a powerful reminder that your skills are transferable and your past experiences are your greatest assets.
Navigating Cultural Shock and the “German System”
Moving to a new country always comes with its challenges, and Vivian’s experience was no exception.
